This past weekend, I had the privilege of co-hosting a Dr. Seuss Thing 1 & Thing 2 themed twin baby shower for one of my very best friends! For starters, Pinterest had all sorts of Thing 1 & Thing 2 ideas for twin showers. Since Ashley is having a baby girl AND a baby boy…it only made sense that we take the theme and run with it. An amazing idea for twin babies, the Dr. Seuss Thing 1 and Thing 2 themed baby shower is a fun way to welcome any set twins.

Have Dr. Seuss themed backdrop and Dr Seuss books placed around tables and different parts of the venue for guests to look through and feel nostalgic, too. For the gift table, have your guests each bring their favorite Dr. Seuss book or movie for the new twins. Have a tall, red and white striped top hat like the Cat in the Hat wore at each place setting for your guests to wear at the party and be silly. Toss glittery blue and red tinsel on tables, chairs, and on floors and hang an ample amount of polka dot streamers and fuzzy blue garland from walls and doorways. This weekend I had the honor of hosting Jennifer’s baby shower. She is 30 weeks pregnant with twins and its been quite the journey for her. I am thrilled that she is finally about to start the family she has prayed about for so long.

The room is lightly decorated with red, white and blue pom-poms hanging from the ceiling. A wonderful banner alternating between blue and red/white stripped is displayed with the babies’ names, welcoming them. The theme is nicely brought together with small favor bags of red jelly beans individually labeled with “Thing 1” and “Thing 2” and a cat in the hat book centerpiece. Besides a setup of Dr Seuss themed photo booth station, you can play Twin baby shower games like things N pairs, and pair those socks games.
Baby Shower favors can be bright and silly, so opt for fur tipped pins, or bags full of bright and extra sweet candies. To really emphasize the theme for twins, you can prepare favors that come in a pairs such as socks, a bright red or striped socks. All lovers of Dr. Seuss are familiar with the famous truffula tree from The Lorax.
